Gromit In Clifton
The excellent Aardman Animation is organising a public art exhibition for this summer and Clifton is rumoured to be having 'a few Gromits' in and around the Village. I wonder where we will find him? What is known is that from July 1st to September 7th the Gromit Unleashed Exhibition will be on show in Bristol. The 70 Gromits will be painted by some famous artists and celebrities and exhibited for 10 weeks, after which they will be auctioned to raise money for the Bristol Children's Hospital Appeal, the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal.
Each Gromit is 5ft tall and will be a decorated as individual expression of the chosen artist, as shown by Harry Hill, the comedian and TV presenter, on BBC Local News yesterday evening. Having a Gromit in the Village will certainly bring more footfall into the area as people follow the trail of Gromits around the city.
